Mr. Peter Eide is an experienced executive with extensive background in employment law and human resource management. Throughout his 30+ years in business, Mr. Eide has demonstrated effective leadership and results-oriented skills. He brings a track record of accomplishments in strategic business areas, legal/regulatory matters, and ethics.
Achievements include:
Developed results-oriented performance measurement systems based on accountability for measurable results in specified areas;
Developed and implemented comprehensive ethics programs for a Fortune 50 company;
Acted as national spokesperson for the business community on labor and human resource laws and regulations (1990 – 2003);
Served as labor law practitioner and labor negotiator.
Founder of U.S. Human Resources & Ethics Services, LLC (USHRES), providing a range of HR and ethics services to government and private-sector employers throughout the country.
Examples of Mr. Eide's broad areas of expertise include implementing substantial changes to case handling processes incorporating stringent quality control procedures with a focus on increased quantity of case dispositions; creating new e-government procedures for streamlined data collection, entry and use by management and individual employees; litigated many cases on HR-related issues, such as Title VII, EEO compliance, FLSA; trained mid and upper level management on ethics and human resource management; holds the SPHR certification.
Mr. Eide's academic background includes a J.D. degree from University of Maryland and B.A. degree in political science from Florida State University where he graduated cum laude. He is a member in good standing of the American Bar Association where he serves as Chair, Advisory Committee for Standing Committee on Substance Abuse. Mr. Eide is also a member of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), former SHRM Maryland State Director and 2005-2006 President of the National Capital Area chapter for SHRM (DCSHRM).
